I had installed Server 8.0 and uninstalled all parts of MySQL to reset the root password. Using Windows 10 file: mysql-installer-web-community-8.0.19.0. In the form "Accounts and Roles" it prompts for Current Root Password. As mentioned, I was hoping to set a new password! I entered the password I had just used in a sqldump command earlier today.
MySQL NDB Cluster is the distributed, shared-nothing variant of MySQL. MySQL Server 9.2.0 and MySQL NDB Cluster 9.2.0 are Innovation releases, which means it will have new features, deprecations/removals, and bug fixes. Innovation releases are supported until the next innovation release, and are recommended for production use.

I pick one and it starts messing with my computer. I go back to the Installer Method instructions. Says I should choose Developer Default setup type. Guess what - there is no Developer Default option in the setup screen. They must have updated the program without updating the instructions.

The last time I installed MySQL Workbench (about 5 years ago), the system already had Visual Studio installed, and I didn't get any of this. I went to the Visual Studio website to install it on my new machine, and was faced with 17 different options for installing Visual Studio.
I am unable to connect to my database on MYSQL because the installer freezes when in the accounts and roles section where I input my root password and click on check.
