Former MMA champion Markwayne Mullin was sworn in as the ninth U.S. secretary of Homeland Security on Tuesday, replacing outgoing Secretary Kristi Noem.

He repeatedly played up the Mullin family’s affinity for wrestling in his remarks praising the new secretary. Mullin is stepping in to lead the department that is in the midst of a disastrous funding gap that has impacted everyday Americans in the form of excruciatingly long waits at airport security.
