Finding confidence through reading: Local shares life-changing journey with Read Easy Chilterns
Kayleigh has shared her inspiring journey of learning to read as an adult, thanks to the support of Read Easy Chilterns, a local charity dedicated to helping adults improve their literacy skills.
Currently, there is a waiting list of second-graders at Brookside Primary School eagerly awaiting a mentor to read with on Thursdays from 11:15 a.m. until noon.
More than 500 volunteers took part in the 8th annual United We Read event, reaching more than 3,600 second graders across 10 Lubbock area school districts.
