Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Len B
I did get things moved that eased some pain. Going from Windows 10 to Windows 11 somethings didn't work after the transfer. Probably a lot of the issue is I load software to "try it out" but then don't really use it. I have a lot of clean up that I could do but don't know if I will affect working programs. The software first configured to transfer things wirelessly. It was VERY SLOW. Directions are not easy to follow as to how to do exactly what you want. There was a lot of trial and error and redo's on my part.

I'm a low-vision person, so my primary concern was preserving my Desktop and screen settings, which PCMover did pretty well, although I had to decrease the resolution. Found stuff in a "Windows C" directory with "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)" subdirectories. I had to call Microsoft to get my Contacts moved over. Still trying to get my Screen Savers to function and my "New Mail Notification" to work, among other things. Because I was going from Windows 7 to 10, this was not by no means an "all-inclusive" move. PCMover was a huge help but I'll be "hunting" and "tweaking" for a long time. Still worth the investment.

I loaded the program on both computers and chose the automatic program. I sat back and watched it do it's thing. It completed its job in short order and gave me a report on what it transferred and what it could not which was very little mostly old programs from over 10 years ago. I am totally satisfied and would definitely use this again. Tom H 01201

Came as offered. Prior to purchase CHAT support from the manufacturer of the program was prompt and seemed to answer my questions. Received and installed okay. Began transfer from a Windows 7 PC to a Windows 10 PC. Repeated tries and the analysis was always way low as to bytes and time. I tried the analysis portion six times and I got results that were always close; but never the same as to time and bytes. So I went with the last one of 22 minutes and 73 MB. Even though I knew the byte count was way off I started the transfer hoping for the best. It did transfer all from my old PC (about 373 MB) to my new PC and took an hour. As it ran it repeatedly reset the time to transfer; slowly time left did decrease. I do not have lots of videos or images so it was on the low side as to total bytes.Transfer completed. I can't use Outlook however as it asks me to input the password and it never takes it after repeated attempts. Office 2013 is Windows 10 compatible per MS but I am repeatedly asked to validate all of Office including Outlook password. Decided to go ahead and get Office 2019 and install that on my Windows 10 PC as I got a good deal for five PCs. Will have to get with ATT to set up Outlook and "validate" the other programs (Word, Excel, etc.) after Office 2019 installed this weekend. I did ask for PC Mover support on the issues and 11 days later still no reply. Bottom line in my experience is it will transfer your files pretty well but be prepared to reinstall Office including Outlook password. I have not fully checked the other programs. I hope they work also. If you are ready to reinstall programs probably worth it as this does transfer data files pretty well. But I felt the hype from Laplink was more than it should be. But most do that so not really surprised.

I started the process of migrating from a 2015 vintage Envy laptop to a new Spectre by reloading programs and moving data. However I encountered several programs that I was unable to load due to software license limitations and incompatible bits. I finally purchased PCmover and it was able to successfully move the older versions of the programs to my new machine. I wish I had started the migration process with PCmover - it would have saved me hours of frustration.

Windows might already have a PC transfer program installed, but since we were changing from HP to HP desktops thought it would be a good idea to purchase this software. \r\nMost of our programs transferred over fine, but there were a couple of programs that would not run after the transfer.

Transferring Programs from Windows 7 32bit to Windows 7 64bit system. PCMover was only able to transfer less that half the programs on my PC. Could not transfer my major programs like MS Office, Neat Scanner and CD Library. However I've purchased PCMover about 5 times over the past several years to upgrade to new computers. With it's flaws it's still the best application transfer program I can find on the Internet.

I'll use Laplink again! I didn't need to travel or have anyone in my house. Simply followed the instructions (provided by their chat help - not good at reading users manuals). The transfer was fast (needed ethernet to USB adapter); plus it came with a safe erase program for the old computer. I had a devil of a time entering my serial number because I mistook a I for and 1 (one). Other than that, love this company!

This product did not do...
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·oh2b
This product did not do anything in an easy way except the install download to my old and new computer. After that...it was an uphill battle in every way. PC Mover could not sync the two computers. Had to call Laplink Customer Service (CS) and while the representative went to great lengths, including remote control of my computer, the eventual transfer had to be done via wireless and took about 15 hours. By going remote with CS this meant that I lost control of what to transfer, what not to transfer, etc. All in all a bad experience and I was exhausted at the end of the day. It wasn't supposed to be like this and even CS couldn't tell me why it was happening (i.e. why PC Ultimate wasn't working), it was only because of CS and their expertise that this transfer happened at all. If PC Mover had worked as advertised I shouldn't have had to rely on them at all. At the end of the day everything did transfer and I've had to work through a few glitches post transfer but this was a nightmare.

I am still working with their support so maybe my review will change. But this is not easy breezy fast way to move stuff. You are going to have to know and understand your computer and programs and it won't move all programs without issues. Some programs it won't move and you will still need to find any product keys you may have misplaced. The cord they send may not be compatible with a newer computer. Honestly if it was easy to send back I might just do that.
