I didn't read completely when I ordered this, so I didn't realize it came with a disc for instructions on installing. I don't have anything that will play a disc, so I just put it in my laptop and it does seem to work. I tried reading the fine print for a website with directions but didn't find that either. It seems to work but I don't know if it is working right. It was not expensive so not worth returning, will just keep working with what feels like a improvement on reception.

Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Donald
Using it on Win 7. Driver disk included. I'm not real found of the RealTek utility and lost connection with the app freezing up. Removed the dongle and started my desktop again, after plugging in the WiFi unit. So far it's working as it should. It recovers from both Sleep and Hibernate standby modes although it had trouble one time with Hibernate. Do plug it into a USB 3.0 slot that is directly connected to the motherboard, not a slot wired expansion connection that connects to the board. I tried that and had some problems. \n Next time I buy a motherboard will not save a few bucks and get onboard WiFi !

Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Brian
The advertised speeds are a flat out lie. USB 2 doesn't support the rated speeds. It caps at 480Mbps, not 600, and rarely goes that high.\n\nThat being said, for ~$3, they are okay. I tested them on two devices using Ubuntu and Windows 10 with firefox and beiefly with Chrome. Ubuntu desktop averaged high 40Mbps down, and Windows 10 laptop around 50. Even across the house through several walls I was still getting around 30Mbps with the laptop.\n\nUpload was capped at 9-11Mbps, though that is likely due to my provider.\n\nEthernet was 110Mbps, laptop native wifi was ~90Mbps , so I know it was the dongle capping out and not provider for download speeds.

Pros: meets expectations I don't...
Reviewed on www.newegg.com·From a Tech Guy
Pros: meets expectations I don't have an AX 5400, but my WAP's AX 3000 works just fine. Cons: The antennas are long, about 1 foot, not even kidding. I was expecting shorter, but I made it work anyways. Overall Review: I would recommend this wireless card. I also did a ping loop with this card, knowing that my network isn't your normal cable modem and router. Mine is protected by a firewall, pfSense, adguard, and a few other things, but my internet is 550 down and 20 up. With that said, I sent a ping to Google and let it run; the pings were very decent; normally they would be around 18 to 25 ish, and as you know, it will get a high ping in the 50s, which is still very reasonable; I haven't seen anything higher than that with this card at all. This is normally the sweet spot with gaming PCs, although when I do put a load on the card, it seems like the pings are more solid and you won't really even see the 50 ms pings. or even feel these 50-ms pings, although the ping tester is running in the background. This is a very smooth and well-performing card, so I don't understand why there are more reviews. People are simply sleeping on this card. This card is also an Intel-based chipset, so that kind of speaks for itself. You can't get much better than this, people. Come on, help this guy out and support him.

I'm not sure if it's actually working well or not. It doesn't seem much different. But I got it all hooked up, and it was easy to do so. My internet seems the same. That and it's a production from China, so I'm skeptical on if they now have access to my wifi and computer now. haha

SUPER reliable! Great product. Bought for my teenaged son. \n\nNot ultra-durable. Do NOT “handle” more than necessary to prevent the soft metal components from bending, etc. \n\nHowever, we remain hopeful on our future with this product. As such, we will attempt to follow up on the manufacturer warranty and/or the protection plan we bought at the time of purchase. Ideally, we hope to get this remedied and have some longevity with the product.\n\nMy son feels like he waited years for faster WiFi and will NEVER take it out of his own computer again if we can get it fixed—time will tell. **Review update coming soon if we have no luck and it ends up being a waste.

Pros: Does connect to 5Ghz...
Reviewed on www.newegg.com·Anonymous
Pros: Does connect to 5Ghz network and can obtain download and upload speeds of 100Mbits/second. This is good for video streaming and web surfing. Cons: Appears to be bad for gaming. It seems to cut out often and then respond to a backlog of data all at once once it comes back on. This is not noticeable if you are streaming video as the active data you are getting is for video you will be watching well into the future. However, for playing online games where the data cannot buffer in advance, you will most likely notice constant game lag.\n\nNote: I did just upgrade do a NURBENN \tEP-AC9636 and my issue with playing online games has disappeared. Overall Review: I started playing an MMO recently, and I keep losing connection on the game every couple of minutes. Looking at forums, my Network Resource Monitor, and Wireshark, and reviews on this product, I believe my issue is with this product rather than my computer, the game severs, or my home network.\n\nWire shark: I dont see dubious traffic when the game lags suggesting some other application or virus would be hogging up the bandwidth causing my game to lag. What I do see are missing packet responses.\n\nHome Network: This MMO has a mobile version, (it is OSRS for those familiar), and the game runs without issue or any kind of lag on the same game server on my iPhone10 connected to the same WiFi Network.\n\nResource Monitor: In the resource monitor, I see these huge spikes in the chart when I lag. I believe what is happening is the product is cutting out, then responding to everything all at once which is causing this spike. The spikes dont seem to be from another new process or change the mean of bits per second to increase in any process. \n\nReviews + Forums: 1 star reviews on this product also suggest the product cuts out often and causes interrupts in other peoples games. I have downloaded the latest driver as the response from the manufacturer suggests and saw no change in the issue I am having. Other forums suggest changing power saving options off on the device or to uninstall the driver and restart your computer so it reinstalls. Other software solutions like clearing DNS cache do not help.\n\nNote: I did just upgrade do a NURBENN \tEP-AC9636 and my issue with playing online games has disappeared.

I simply plugged in the adapter and my PC recognized it almost immediately without needing to install additional drivers. Plus, compatibility with Windows 11 and my Mac was seamless, without having to deal with setup issues.

Popular provider upgraded to new modems. My laptop is older and NOT compatible with the new modem. After simple driver installation with included CD, plugged the adapter in, selected my modem and right back online. NOTE: "available wifi" selection now has Wifi 1 and Wifi 2 with a dropdown arrow so I had to choose Wifi 2 to find my modem in the choices. Unit works VERY well. Highly recommend.

Seemed to work well with high speed when closer to router. My home office is a bit further, and it kept switching from 5g to 2.4g and speed tests were inconsistent, sometimes quite slow. I then forced it to stay on 5g (in device manager advanced, the 'ac' option in mode, rather than the 'auto' option). It now seems more stable and maintaining higher speeds even in my home office. We'll see if it stays consistent.
