On 29 January 2026, ICA officers at Singapore Cruise Centre foiled an attempt to smuggle controlled drugs via Singapore. ICA Search and Examination officers observed that the 27-year-old male foreign traveller appeared nervous and conducted a thorough search, uncovering 1.02kg of suspected Kratom powder within in his luggage.
